
Amtico International Overhauls Amtico and Spacia Brands
Amtico International (www.amtico.com) has radically revamped the
Amtico and Spacia flooring brands and launched the largest product
introduction in the company's history. The luxury vinyl tile
flooring manufacturer kept the most popular designs but doubled
Spacia, adding 49 new products to form a collection of 73 products,
and added 30 designs to bring the Amtico selection to 158. The
expanded ranges offer new design expressions and innovative
finishes, and specifically for Amtico, more tile and plank sizes
and new cutting options, all allowing for greater design
creativity.
The design-led overhaul reflects global design directions
researched and interpreted by Amtico International's design studios
based in the UK. The international team crafted distinctive
new combinations of texture, color and pattern in a diverse range
of wood, stone and abstract designs. Known for innovative and
realistic designs that accurately mimic the natural material, the
40-year-old manufacturer has added such innovations as Alchemy and
Shibori products under the Amtico brand. Alchemy is unlike
any other Amtico product featuring a highly complex print design
that will bring an element of intrigue to any space. Shibori
adds a new dimension to the Amtico design wood collection and can
be used to create a statement when combined with other
products.
Amtico International is bringing their new product offering
directly to designers via a six-week, 14-city tour which began in
New York City in mid-April. Launch events are coming to San
Francisco, Atlanta, Toronto, Dallas, Boston, among other
destinations. In addition to new products, Amtico will unveil a new
logo, ad campaign with tagline "I AMTICO - I Create, I Design, I
Express" and new looks for merchandising and product
portfolios. Likewise, Spacia sports a new visual identity,
marketing collateral, portfolios and an ad campaign entitled "For
Every Space, There's Spacia."

Amtico Brand Expands Design Tools
The Amtico brand expanded design services with highly customizable
formats called Signature, Choice and Bespoke. Products can be
installed in any combination to produce layouts that run from
streamlined to complex. Signature options include
Herringbone, Checker Block, Basket Weave, Woven, Stitch and other
effects, while Choice includes such formats as Checker Board,
Linear Block, Cross Grain and Random Plank. Designers can
completely customize through Bespoke services to create corporate
logos, thematic icons and other unique imagery. Elaborate
borders, medallions and motifs also are possible. New sizes
for tiles and planks, including oversized Xtra formats, facilitates
design flexibility.
All Amtico brand floors are 40 mil, as compared to the industry
standard of 20 mil, to provide greater durability. Backed by
a 20 Year Commercial Wear Warranty, the flooring features five
layers: a tough urethane treatment layer; a slip-resistant layer; a
dense wear layer that protects against dents and stains; a color
layer of digitally enhanced high-definition aesthetic imaging; and
a strong backing. The flooring system provides exceptional
resistance to scratches, scuffs, stains and indentations.
Floors will not chip, crack, warp or yellow like many natural
surfaces.
Spacia Brand Doubles in Size
Amtico International has doubled the scope of the Spacia line in a
move to capture greater share of the fast-growing 20 mil resilient
flooring market. The sweeping brand overhaul brings Spacia to
73 products, providing the largest selection, best-in-class
designs and performance in the 20 mil luxury vinyl tile
market. Included are a wider range of stone and wood patterns
as well as a first-time offering of abstracts such as metallics,
textiles, pebble and striated charcoal effects. Color selections
also have expanded to cover warm, neutral and cool palettes.
New size options add to design flexibility and accommodate spaces
of varying sizes and uses.
